There was a time when I looked on Martin Luther King Day and said why? Why are we observing a day for a civil rights leader from 1960s? I’m 46 I was the product of the education system of the 1970s. My first year of school would have been 1973 that is, 10 years almost to the month from this speech. Good Ideas are slow to move through society. They percolate slowly down thru society. Much like water moving thru a slow sand filter. Once placed out into the collective mind of society it takes time for the ideal to confront, expose and change concepts that are instilled into our psyches built over years or decades. My Favorite Knife is the Mora. Most people haven’t heard of them they are a knife built for the rigor of everyday life built for Scandinavian farmersWikipediahas this to say about the knife.

In Sweden and Finland, Mora knives are extensively used in construction and in industry as general-purpose tools. Most Mora knives are similar in design to Finnish puukkos. The forging of Mora knives dates back to medieval sword-smiting tradition. The proper way to pronounce “Mora” is with a long o (“moo-ra”).”
Folks, I reported on the fact that OPEC was over producing oil to destroy the ability for the American frackers to produce oil, because it would be uneconomical to do so, at the price oil is selling for now. The price of oil needs to be above $50-$60 dollars a barrel, or the companies that are fracking the oil shale can’t make profit at the lower prices. Continue reading →

One of the few things I Truly Fear is a Cyber war. We have become to dependent on computers in everyday life. When was the last time you had cash in your pocket? It has become so common place for you and I to just swipe our cards for what we need. That card is connected to the bank and the bank is connected to the internet. What happens when a bad actor (IE) for lack of a better example the Korea, or China, finally gets fed up with the US government using them as scape goats every time someone hacks Sony or Target, and turns loose programmers, to work taking down our cyber grid.
